HAILSHAM FARMERS MARKET

Pick up some beautiful local products.
Proving to be very popular is the award-winning Bread and pastries stall, also locally farmed meat, the regular honey and wax products stall, and some fabulous handmade cards.
Simon of Wallace Plants has a wide selection of vegetables and flower plants, just ready for planting out.
The Market will run, whatever the weather, so please support your local farmers, producers and craftspeople at Hailsham Farmers’ Market.
As always, there is plenty of free parking on site, so that you can pick your goods and pack your shopping straight into your car.

DEANLAND CAMERA CLUB

DEANLAND CAMERA CLUB is looking for new members. The next meeting is on Wednesday 1 April in the Deanlands Social Club, Deanlands Road, near Golden Cross BN27 3RN at 7.30pm.

Deanland Camera Club is seeking new members to join this friendly gathering. You do not need a fancy camera to take excellent pictures and to demonstrate what can be achieved with your mobile phone we are organising a talk on the first of April (not a joke!) by a fellow photographer who has made the change and will show you the results- I think you will be amazed! Hopefully after seeing the presentation, you will understand that you already have the equipment to join us. A talk will be presented by an interesting local photographer who has made the change from pro camera to mobile phone. You can do it too without loss of quality, come and see how, open to all.

MICHELHAM PRIORY FAMILY EASTER WEEKEND

MICHELHAM PRIORY EASTER WEEKEND runs from 3 to 6 April and you can celebrate with family-friendly activities at Michelham Priory House & Gardens. There will be a variety of activities and entertainment, and younger visitors can take part in a special Easter Trail, created by the Friends of Michelham Priory, exploring the site as they hunt for clues and Easter surprises.

There will also be plenty happening across the weekend: The Michelham and Wolfshead Bowmen will be on site throughout the weekend, demonstrating traditional archery. Trevor the Tale Weaver will be sharing enchanting children’s stories on Friday 3 April. On Saturday 4 April, visitors can meet Mark with DoG the duck and Goldie, offering a fun and memorable experience for families.

On Sunday 5 and Monday 6 April, Nigel will be working in the forge, demonstrating traditional blacksmithing. All activities are included with normal admission, making it a great value day out. For those keen to try their hand themselves, have-a-go archery will also be available for a small additional charge. Food, drinks and lunches will be available at the Blue Door Café. The historic buildings and beautiful grounds provide plenty to see and do.
