EAST SUSSEX HUSTINGS

Arrive at 6.30 for a 6.45pm prompt start. This will give you the opportunity to meet the Candidates for the East Sussex Council Elections and will be your chance to hear directly from those vying to represent you. The event invites members of the Sussex Weald constituency to attend a lively evening of election debate when you will also be given the chance to understand their priorities and plans, ask questions about issues that matter to you and your business. This is a free event, however a ticket is required from Eventbrite for one ticket per person, first come, first served. Please bring this with you for entry. There will be bag checks and doors will be closed at 6.45 sharp. Pre-submitted and audience questions will be put to candidates who will give opening statements, respond to key topics and deliver closing remarks. Free parking is available on site. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket so it can be reallocated. RACE NIGHT

This fundraiser is on behalf of Herstmonceux Village Hall.  7pm for 7.30pm start. Tickets are £5 cash on the door. Bring your own snacks and drinks and cash for placing bets on races. Book your seats in advance at info@herstmonceuxvillagehall.org.uk.

‘SQUIRRELS’ GARDEN OPEN FOR CHARITY

In aid of St Wilfrid’s Hospice. Entrance is by donation at The Street, Arlington, BN26 6RX. This is a medium-size garden with far reaching views to the Downs and the Long Man of Wilmington, with two cherry trees and a variety of Camellias and Azaleas. Along with many spring bulbs there is an herbaceous border and large fishpond. There will be refreshments. No dogs please, except assistance dogs. Parking Available at the local Arlington Village Hall which will be signposted.

HAILSHAM FARMERS MARKET

Pick up some beautiful local products.
Proving to be very popular is the award-winning Bread and pastries stall, also locally farmed meat, the regular honey and wax products stall, and some fabulous handmade cards.
Simon of Wallace Plants has a wide selection of vegetables and flower plants, just ready for planting out.
The Market will run, whatever the weather, so please support your local farmers, producers and craftspeople at Hailsham Farmers’ Market.
As always, there is plenty of free parking on site, so that you can pick your goods and pack your shopping straight into your car.
