CATS PROTECTION CHRISTMAS FAIR

At the Charles Hunt Centre (not the Adoption Centre)

There will be meat and veggie Sausage Rolls, tomato Soup with bread, tea, coffee, biscuits and mince pies. There will be a special Christmas chocolate tombola and a raffle drawn just after 2.30pm. There will be plenty of stalls, including cat merchandise, books and puzzles, home baked cakes and bric-a-brac as well as Christmas wreaths to buy. All those who have pre-ordered can pick up their wreaths. Hailsham Voices choir will be performing on the Day. The Adoption Centre in Marshfoot Lane, will be open if you would like to visit the cats in their care and there will also be good quality second hand cat related items to buy down at the Adoption Centre on the Day. Admission to the fair will be 50p or a donation of cat food. Sorry No Dogs allowed and please bring cash only. HAILSHAM BONFIRE CELEBRATIONS

HAILSHAM BONFIRE CELEBRATIONS will be taking place in the town on Saturday 18 October evening. Processions followed by fireworks at Western Road Recreation Ground. Programmes are available to buy throughout the Town and will show the timings of the processions, the routes and the start of the firework display. There will be loud bangs throughout and some rolling road closures in place.

ARLINGTON VILLAGE MARKET, POP-UP MUSEUM & COFFEE MORNING

ARLINGLTON VILLAGE MARKET AND MUSEUM is ready to greet you again on Tuesday 14 October from 10am to 12 noon at Arlington village hall BN26 6SE. Everyone is very welcome to visit the market and pop-up museum. Regular stalls include traditional fresh bread, cakes and fresh egg, homemade cakes and savouries, bric-a-brac supporting local charities, second hand books about the local area, sundries, jewellery, cards, crafts and lots more. Arlington’s Pop-Up Museum will also be taking place at the same time. The month the exhibit features The Cuckmere Pilgrim Path, a circular walk of about 12 miles over varying terrain taking walkers on a pilgrimage around seven ancient rural churches. It passes through the beautiful landscape of the South Downs, Low Weald and Cuckmere Valley. It is a very sociable morning and there is always tea and cake.
