FLAMING FAMILY FUNDAY & DOG SHOW

FLAMING FAMILY FUNDAY AND DOG SHOW is this Sunday 28 June from 11am to 4pm at Hailsham Recreation Ground, Western Road organised by Jim Bodman and Hailsham Bonfire Society. This is a FREE Event for all to enjoy and has so many things to see and do. Including a licenced bar, live music, dog show 3 to 3.30pm, fun fair, food and drink stalls, local charity stalls and much more. The Fun Dog Show is at 3pm to 3.30pm and has categories for Waggiest Tail, Best Trick and Dog that Looks Most Like its Owner. Entries cost £2 for one class or all three for £5. All entries should be made from 11am at the Tatty Matts stall. Maximum 20 entries per class. It will be judged by Tatty Matts own Tayah Willis.

CATS PROTECTION SUMMER FAIRE

This will be at Charles Hunt Centre Hailsham BN27 1BG on Sunday 5th July from 12 noon – 3 p.m. .
Please note the Adoption Centre in Marshfoot Lane will be closed to the public.
We will have lots of stalls, including Cakes and Treats, Cat Merchandise Bric-a- Brac, Raffle and Tombola, Refreshments will include meat and veggie burghers.
Entry is 50p. or a donation of cat food.
Sorry no Dogs allowed and please bring CASH only.

STEP BY STEP WATERCOLOUR TUTORIAL

BODLE STREET ART GROUP will be meeting on Friday 26 June from 1.30 to 4.30pm when a visiting professional artist will be joining the monthly art group at the Bodle Street Green Village Hall. A step by step watercolour tutorial, you will be able to come away with a completed watercolour for which there are two themes available to choose from and with expert tuition. All abilities welcome to join. It is a relaxed and non-judgement environment to enjoy an afternoon of painting. Numbers will be limited for new people wishing to join and participate in the workshop so booking early is recommended at £18 with £5 deposit required in advance to secure your place.   Contact – Sue on 07801849306 or email itsmyartworkshops@gmail.com. DAWN CHORUS WALKS

At Bates Green Garden and Arlington Bluebell Walk on 14 and 21 May. These walks will be led by Sarah Wilesmith, an expert who shares her extensive knowledge in an engaging and accessible manner. Take an early morning amble through the spring woods to discover and learn some birdsongs. Sarah Wilesmith has worked in the woods for over a decade and can help you tell your Coal Tit from your Great Tit and Nuthatch from Treecreeper. You may even hear a Kingfisher or Nightingale. With a handy guide to take home, this walk will help you learn the names, habits and some folklore of thirty of our woodland birds.
