Entry is free and it is an amazing collection of local historical items. Whether you are interested in old photographs of the town, its ropemaking or farming industries, you will find lots of things of interest here and knowledgeable volunteers from the Hailsham Historical Society will be on hand to answer any questions. Local schools and visits from groups are also welcome and for particularly large groups, bookings outside normal operational hours enquiries can be made by emailing info@hailshamhistoricalsociety.co.uk. Visit the website to find out more at www.hailshamhistoricalsociety.co.uk. Barretts Homes recently made a donation to the Society and the money has been used to buy a laptop and software so that the Society can document and sort records and collections for easier retrieval well into the future.
