Voluntary Veg Bed planting & maintenance

Would you be up for volunteering for 1 hour per week, to help look after a veg bed in the town centre? The produce is for passers by and people who use the Foodbank to pick, so it’s a true grassroots community initiative.
We need 4 people. Great way to socialise while growing veg for community good! Please see the flyer below for details and get in touch to chat more about the project andi@hailsham.foodbank.org.uk

Writers Group

The Young at Heart Writers Group is a fun group of people who just enjoy writing in any genre and are happy to have a go. We write on different subjects, build characters, play games and write stories, poems, reports, plays, lyrics and try to have fun whilst doing so. Occasional speakers, field trips and outings are enjoyed by members.

There is currently no charge to join the group although a donation would be appreciated.

We meet on the third Thursday of every month at the Gospel Mission, Station Road, Hailsham from 10.30am to 12.30pm with a break for refreshments.

More serious writers are also very welcome
